Archiving Policy

The North Liverpool College Journal of Research and Innovation (NLC-JRI) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of its published content. To achieve this, the journal utilizes multiple trusted digital archiving systems, as outlined below:

1. LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)

NLC-JRI uses the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving network among participating libraries. This ensures that published content is preserved in multiple repositories and remains permanently accessible, even in the event of system failures.

2. CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS)

The journal also participates in the CLOCKSS program, a community-governed archive that preserves scholarly content and ensures availability to the global research community in case the journal or its publisher ceases operations.

3. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

As an OJS-based journal, NLC-JRI is preserved in the PKP Preservation Network (PN), which offers free preservation services for journals that follow open access and metadata standards. This ensures secure, long-term accessibility of published content.
