Plagiarism Policy

The North Liverpool College Journal of Research and Innovation (NLC-JRI) maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism. Authors must ensure that all submissions are original and have not been published or submitted elsewhere. Any form of plagiarism, including direct copying, improper paraphrasing, self-plagiarism, or unauthorized use of images, figures, and data is considered unethical. All manuscripts are screened through professional plagiarism detection tools (such as Turnitin or iThenticate) before review. Depending on the severity, cases of overlap may result in revision requests, rejection, or retraction, and serious misconduct may lead to blacklisting and notification of the authors’ institutions or funders. By submitting a manuscript, authors accept full responsibility for the originality of their work, proper citation of sources, and obtaining permissions for reused material. In the event plagiarism is discovered after publication, NLC-JRI reserves the right to retract the article in line with COPE guidelines.
